The Endurance Ride Association of South Africa (ERASA) is the governing body for endurance in South Africa and falls under the South African Equestrian Federation (SAEF), which governs over all equestrian sport in South Africa.
ERASA is made up of several unions which consists of a number of clubs within each union.
All rides are ERASA- governed rides. There are a few FEI rides over the country each year, but there will always be an ERASA ride parallel to the FEI- governed ride. In the case of a FEI ride, however, the Higher Authority’s rules will always be in play.
